A white party with free admission will take over the Topham Mall this Saturday, June 25 for the seventh anniversary of the popular Lady Burra microbrewery. Adelaide’s first city center microbrewery is celebrating big with permission from the City of Adelaide to take over the Currie Street public walkway at its premises.
Steven Kidd, owner of Lady Burra, says the party will be sizzling with live music all night and a hostess making sure everything goes smoothly.
“It’s going to be Adelaide’s hottest street party this winter,” says Steven. “We have an exceptional line-up to get people dancing, and everyone will look stunning in white.”
“We are grateful to all of our supporters over the past seven years and want to thank them all by providing a great evening of entertainment, as well as offering amazing food and drink from our Portuguese influenced menu.”
Lady Burra’s White Party will start with guitarist and singer Rodrigo Soafer, followed by the Brazil Nuts Orchestra in the afternoon playing old school hits, then a DJ will keep the beats going into the night, accompanied by Emile Ryjoch on sax.
Drag queen Izzy Goode will be the liveliest host of the festivities, while a performance by Kraken Fire Art will warm up guests.
Steven says the eclectic lineup has something for everyone, whether people are looking for a relaxing afternoon session or something a little bigger.
“We hope people will come early and get the most out of all our performers, grabbing a bite to eat from our new menu and then hitting the dance floor,” says Steven. “There will be drink specials all night long, so we have no doubt it will be a big night for those who attend.”
The first 100 guests of the day from 3 p.m. will receive a free Lady Burra mug and a beer offered by the house. Over 10 freebies will be given out throughout the night, including a $50 Lady Burra voucher for someone dressed in white.
Steven says those joining the themed party should aim to “shine like a diamond.” The outdoor setup includes a bar and designated dance floor, plus fire pits to help keep revelers warm. A new Lady Burra menu will also be launched in line with the White Party.
